Google launched a new program called California Get Your Business Online. Gybo.com, was launched on March 1st, 2012. It offers California small businesses a new way to find customers and grow their business, with a free website and online training. For the next year Google is working with California small business groups and companies, that are interested in helping the economy grow. While getting exposure from the Internet.
Since studies say that less then 40% of California small businesses have websites, it is a smart move on Google?s part to start the California Get Your Business Online Program. For this program, Google has partnered with Intuit for their popular website building software.They also include a custom domain name and free web hosting for a year.
Along with offering an online forum for small businesses. Google will be hosting several, free training seminars across the state of California to directly connect with small business owners. So participating, California small business will be able to get one on one help from web professionals. The seminars will be held March 12 and 13 in Los Angeles, March 14 in Irvine, March 15 in Bakersfield, and March 16 in Sacramento. The Google funded seminars will instruct participants on how to build a website and how to promote their business online.
To me the California Get Your Business Online Program, looks like it will be another successful program for Google, Like their Google Engage Program. Which is now just over a year old, and still growing strong.
