Assistant Professor in Earth Science (Environmental Geology ...

We seek a broadly trained geologist who can support our Environmental Geology curriculum, and who can offer a variety of courses, including
field geology and mineralogy. The successful candidate will have a solid background in geology and will teach courses in support of the
department's degree requirements, as well as courses for the general education program and First-Year Experience program, as appropriate.
The department encourages the use of innovative and effective pedagogies, and candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in
teaching in classroom, laboratory, and field settings. The new faculty member will be expected to participate in student advisement,
curriculum development, and service at the department, college, and university levels. The new faculty member also will be expected to
develop a research program that will actively engage undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in geology or related field at the time of appointment
